Curry's goal in overtime clinches 3-2 victory for the Bobcats

The Texas State soccer team trailed late in regulation to the Arkansas State Red Wolves.

Just before the final whistle, Lauren Prater, junior forward, received a pass from a teammate and lofted the ball over the goalkeeper to tie the game at 1-1 in the 83rd minute.

It wasn’t long before the Bobcats took advantage, as Lynsey Curry, senior forward, scored the game-winning goal in the 92nd minute.

The goal propelled the Bobcats to a 3-2 victory over the Red Wolves Sunday afternoon and moved their conference record to 2-0.

Although the Bobcats controlled possession throughout the game the team needed to come from behind twice to tie the game.

Assistant Coach Link Scoggins said the team was resilient but they failed to follow the scouting report.
