The Texas State men's basketball team announced its 2015-16 schedule Monday, which includes non-conference games against the Pac 12, Conference USA and Southland Conference.

Texas State's non-conference slate, beginning Nov. 16 against UT Tyler at Strahan Coliseum, features matchups against UTEP, McNeese State, UTSA and Washington State.

The Bobcats will face UTEP for the first since 2006 and UTSA for a second consecutive year. UTSA erased a 16-point deficit in the first half by outscoring Texas State 69-40 in the final 28 minutes in last year's matchup held at the Convocation Center. This year's game is scheduled at Strahan Coliseum.

Following the nine-game non-conference schedule, Texas State opens Sun Belt Conference play with a pair of home games against Georgia Southern and Georgia State, the top two teams in the conference.

The 20-game conference schedule concludes with home games against Troy and South Alabama. The Sun Belt Conference tournament begins March 10 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Texas State, last year's eight-seeded team in the conference tournament, defeated UT-Arlington in the first round before losing to fourth-seeded Louisiana-Lafayette in the quarterfinals.
