Curry named Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week

Lynsey Curry, junior forward, was named the Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week for her performances against Arkansas State and Arkansas-Little Rock.

Texas State won both contests, as Curry accounted for three goals in the victories. Curry scored the game-winning goal in the 87th minute, sealing the Bobcats' 2-1 victory against Arkansas State.

In the following game, Curry's goal in the 79th minute tied the game at 1 before Arkansas-Little Rock finished the game with a own goal. 

The Cypress native scored goals in two consecutive games for the first time since her freshman season. Curry, the teams leading goal scorer this season (4), is averaging 4.82 shots per game, tied for the highest mark in the conference.
